RNGungeon (GMTK 2022)
A downloadable game
RNGungeon is a procedurally generated dungeon crawling game created for the GMTK 2022 Game Jam.
Each level is unique with a range of rooms and tunnels containing monsters and treasure for you to enjoy! Find the secret hatch to delve even deeper.
You can use many items to get as far as possible, such as:
- BOMBS - Drop a bomb to destroy enemies in an area.
- LADDERS - Immediately skip the hatch and go straight to the next level.
- DICE SET - Restock your random damage rolls for your weapon.
The final 2 weapons were not finished in time. :(
Controls
- WASD - Character Movement
- X - Reset
- Space - Fire weapon
- Q/E - Move through items
- R - Use Item
- Tab - Show Inventory
- Ctrl Lock - Show stats so far
There are also some debug item testing keys that I'm not going to tell you. sorry!
Roll of the Dice:
- Randomised Levels
- Randomised gun damage rolls
- Randomised Loot tables for chests
I really don't know how I always manage to double/triple book myself with things on Game Jam weekends but it seems to be a reoccuring theme.
